Future Games Show: Exoborne
At this year’s gamescom, we didn’t just get trailers and announcements, the future games show gave us an exclusive interview with Sharkmob, developers of tactical extraction shooter Exoborne. In it, Earth is facing a terrible climate emergency, and the humans engage in a project to reverse it. Sadly, far from reversing the emergency ‘project rebirth’ just makes things worse. This is where you will come in. As a player in Exbourne, you will be collecting items to help with your survival, upgrading weapons and gear, and trying your hardest to survive to the extraction point, lest you lose everything you collected.
Sharkmob went on to tell us all about their “community first” development method. They create games with what their community wants in mind. After creating parts of the game, they bring thousands of players on board to check it out and make sure that it matches what they want to play. This playtest is ongoing to Exoborne, and you can join in now if you want to see how it develops.
