Future Games Show: Atomfall
Tonight at gamescom’s Future Games Show, we saw a deep dive into Atomfall. At the end of the world, you’ll need to test your survival instincts to survive. Ben Fisher, the head of design from Rebellion, talks about their latest game.
Atomfall is slightly different from the usual post-apocalyptic game. It’s been influenced by Fallout and Bioshock. You wake up in quarantine in a disaster zone. All you know is that you know nothing. With no knowledge of your character, you can find melee and ranged weapons that will decide whether you kill or be killed.
Difficulty is approached by your own playstyle. Whether you’re beating enemies with a cricket bat or investigating your surroundings, Atomfall will have accessibility options to ensure it’s playable to everyone.
If you want to know more, then keep an eye out for Atomfall for when it comes out in 2025. Expect it to come out on PlayStations 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It’ll also be available on Xbox Game Pass on Day 1.
