Friday The 13th Game in Development
A Friday The 13th game is in development according to an exclusive by EGM.
The story reports that the game is currently in development and will be an "asymmetrical, co-operative and competitive multiplayer predator/prey horror experience that pits a small group of resourceful survivors against a single player in control of the immortal, relentless slasher icon."
Although we still don't know which studio is developing on the upcoming game, Sean S. Cunningham, creator of the original film, hints that is in the hands of an experienced game studio with more details likely to be announced in the coming weeks.
Cunningham explained that “With a new television series on the horizon and plans announced for the thirteenth installment of the film franchise, we felt the timing was right to finally explore Jason, Camp Crystal Lake, and the rest of the Friday the 13th story in interactive form,”
The game is pencilled in for a October 2015 release, which will make it the first appearance of Jason Voorhees in a game since the 1989 NES addition.

So, if Evolve were based on a franchise, it would be this game. Pretty good idea, honestly.

I suppose so, that's an interesting to look at it! Talk about an 'Elevator pitch'. I was thinking more of something along the lines of what Until Dawn is trying to be

@[539584607:Dom D'Angelillo] You didn't get that right away? "multiplayer predator/prey horror experience" - maybe without the horror - is Evolve in the simplest terms. And having just Wiki'd Until Dawn, yes they are all the same idea.

@[537776659:Andrew Acelister Duncan] I must admit, Until Dawn sprung to mind first, but since you mentioned it... these are all going to be similar style games... and here was us thinking they were bringing something new to the table

@[539584607:Dom D'Angelillo] There are no new ideas, just variations of them.
