Free to Play Command & Conquer Cancelled

A statement was published by Victory Games, the developers of the game, on Command & Conquer's blog yesterday that detailed the title will ceasing to move any further into development and an EA spokesperson later confirmed to Polygon that Victory Games will be disbanded.

The team at Victory Games will be disbanded. Wherever possible, we are working to help these talented people find other opportunities within EA.

The blog post noted the Los Angeles-based development studio's thanks to the community that helped to test the Alpha but explained that, due to feedback from the testers, the game wasn't shaping up the way the gamers wanted it to.

They have also said that over the next 10 days, players who spent money on the alpha will be receiving a refund in full of any money they spent on the game. All refund inquiries should be directed towards EA's support lines.
