Free Better Together Update Arrives to Wizard with a Gun
Released on the 17th of October 2023, Wizard with a Gun was supposed to come out with four-player co-op. After various technical difficulties, developer Galvanic Games decided instead to release it with two-player co-op at the start and work its way to its initially intended four-player release window.
Now, seven months after its release, the new free update finally reflects the team's vision for the game. The latest free update allows lobbies of up to four players, including gameplay changes to keep the combat balanced across all types of lobbies, ensuring an appropriate amount of challenge remains even with four players in the world.
Alongside this update, new preset difficulties are making their way to Wizard with a Gun, giving players more control over the way they experience the title. This will also be applicable for the cooperative modes, meaning you can make the gameplay easier or more difficult, depending on your preferred style. You'll also find a new library so you can read the lore that you've encountered in the world and even new end-game content that "will be chaotic".
Check out the trailer to find out about the struggles — mechanical and gameplay — that Galvanic Games faced while working on Better Together. The update is out now as of the 13th of May 2024.
