Fractured Space Goes Free to Play With Massive Update
Team-based space combat game, Fractured Space is getting a whole smorgasbord of updated and new content ahead of its full launch later this year. As well as that, the game is going free to play, so now there's no excuse not to play the game. Unless you're allergic to stars or something.
The new update is live already and adds two new sector maps, a duo of new ships and adjusts some balancing elements to the game. There's a loading screen minigame included now, which gives you something to do while you wait for your new ships to load up. Thinking of new ships, there's a "try-before-you-buy" type system in place now in teh form of a shooting gallery which allows you to test out how powerful your potential purchase id before you take to the skies in it. There's twenty new crew members available, doubling the existing roster.
“Fractured Space is fundamentally team-based and we believe the new update will add a strong competitive element to our universe and increase accessibility to new players” said James Brooksby, CEO of Edge Case Games. “We listen to our community and get their feedback, and this continues to help us shape the game as we move closer to full launch.”
