Former CD Projekt RED Developers Band Together
A group of former employees from CD Projekt RED have banded together in hopes of creating a better, more united studio and already have announced they are working on a AAA dark fantasy game that will be built inside the Unreal 5 engine. Their first planned saga.
The new studio — named Rebel Wolves — that was announced by Konrad Tomaskiewicz is comprised of other CD Projekt RED developers that worked on The Witcher titles and other games: narrative director Jakub Szamałek, design director Daniel Sadowski, art director Bartłomiej Gaweł, animation director Tamara Zawada, CFO Michał Boryka, and studio head Robert Murzynowski.
Konrad Tomaskiewicz mentions that they envision Rebel Wolves as a place where experienced game developers can reignite their passion and that they aim to always put the team first.
"We decided to create our own studio and run it on our own terms. Chief among them: the team comes first, always. Happy people make great games— games players want and deserve. Yes, it’s as simple as that."
