FORECLOSED - The Cyberpunk Shooter That Takes its Comicbook Influence Seriously

Revealed at IGN's 'Summer of Gaming' show, FORECLOSED is a cyberpunk shooter that takes its comicbook influence to heart. In development for "PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch", the cyberpunk shooter blends its ability-based gameplay with a comicbook-inspired art style and narrative. As a third-person shooter, FORECLOSED won't blow many minds, but its implant-based powers system does stand to spice up the action. Summoned shields, telekinetic powers and remote-activated electronic traps make an appearance in the trailer—lending credence to developer Antab Studio's Deus Ex influence. It also gives off subtle whiffs of Remedy's Control in its moment-to-moment gameplay.

FORECLOSED is a dystopian tale of stripped identity; it tells of a fugitive on the run and the all-powerful organisations that treat individual identity as a commodity to be auctioned off. With cutscenes and narrative set-pieces that blend seamlessly with gameplay, Foreclosed takes its narrative style seriously. 

FORECLOSED is set for release on "PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch" Q2 2021. The developer's ambiguity as to the generation of Xbox and PlayStation system in reference suggests that it'll be cross-generation, although no specifics have been given on this front.
