Contra is one of those iconic games that defined the NES era of gaming, with it's  8-bit graphics, rocking soundtrack, and era-appropriate difficulty, which also gave rise to the very famous code with which to gain 30 lives. With the release of the newest title in the series, Contra: Operation Galuga, Konami is attempting to bring the franchise back to it's roots of running and gunning fun!

Step back into the combat boots of the elite Contra Commandos Bill Rizer and Lance Bean (as well as others) and pick up your trusty weapon, taking on the hordes of enemy robots and foes of the Red Falcon terrorist group! Making their return are the many different weapon upgrades the heroes can pick up, such as the Laser Beam and iconic Spread Gun! Fight by yourself or with a friend through multiple levels of action and utilise the character-specific powers to wreak havoc on any enemies unlucky enough to face you.

Take on the story with a friend in Story mode, or team up with up to three friends to try out the Arcade mode, all while enjoying the detailed graphics, amazing voice-acting, and explosive musical score featuring unlockable retro remixes of classic tunes! I call Spread Gun!

Contra: Operation Galuga is now available digitally on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
