First Maplestory 2 Gameplay Trailer

South Korean developers Nexon have revealed the first gameplay trailer for their upcoming MMORPG MapleStory 2 showing footage of the game taken directly from the game's Alpha state. The video shows off the games exploration, combat and social elements as well as showing off an artstyle that's looks like a mash up of the Mario 3D titles, Minecraft and Lego. The trailer also shows off bosses, special abilities and character customisation options.

MapleStory 2 is a follow up to the long running and extremely successful MapleStory which has run since 2003 and been released globally. MapleStory 2 will take place in a time before the original game and will enter a Korean closed beta in 2014, with a worldwide release scheduled for a later date.
