First Look at DIRT 5 on the PlayStation 5
Codemasters' eagerly anticipated sequel DIRT 5 may be out now for current-gen consoles and PC, but the game's next-gen release is still a week or two off. To make that waiting a little easier for those waiting on their next-gen DIRT-fix, the DIRT 5 team has unveiled bona fide footage of the game in action on a PlayStation 5 system. Check it out above and get a peek behind the PlayStation 5 development curtain from DIRT 5's technical director, David Springate.
Springate discusses the benefit of 120hz gameplay, touches on the immersive power of 7.1 surround sound audio and positively gushes about the surprise of Sony's DualSense controller. DIRT 5 is out, but it won't be complete until the next-gen version releases.
DIRT 5 is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It also releases alongside the next generation of consoles with a free upgrade path for owners of the previous-generation versions: 10th November for Xbox Series S/X and 12th/19th November for PlayStation 5 (depending on your region). A Stadia version will also launch in 2021.
