First Genshin Impact Update of 2023 Arriving with Version 3.4
HoYoverse Team has just announced the first update of 2023 for its hugely popular open-world RPG, Genshin Impact. The Version 3.4 update will bring the Lantern Rite celebration to the game, a music festival with some traditional performances in honour of Teyvat's New Year, with its own set of bonus rewards.
Also included in the update is a new desert area in Sumeru, known as the Desert of Hadramaveth. The sandstorm covered landscape opens the door for new adventures, and comes with a set of fresh World Quests. Players will also be able to acquire two new playable characters: the five-star swordsman, Alhaitham, who had previously been introduced in the main story line, and the four-star polearm fighter, Yaoyao.
New free-to-claim rewards will also be available after the completion of various events, including a new outfit for Lisa, as well as a four-star Liyue character. Genshin Impact's Version 3.4 update is set to release on the 18th of January, 2023.
