Final Release Trailer for Wolfenstein: The New Order
Bethesda Softworks has revealed its last release trailer for Wolfenstein: The New Order, called "House of the Rising Sun", which will be hitting the market next Tuesday, May 20th.
Like all good trailers, it begins with Nazis and a German rendition of the American folk song "House of the Rising Sun" (which is about brothels and the sad stories of women of the evening) completed with cheerful accordion accompaniment. For the uninitiated, the Wolfenstein series takes place (mostly) during World War II, where William B.J. Blazkowicz is an American OSA agent of Polish descent attempting to stop the Paranormal Division of the Nazi party. In The New Order, the series reimagines an alternate timeline where Blazkowicz suffers amnesia during a mission ("memory loss, flashbacks, fourteen years in a loony bin") and the Nazis win the war.
Of course, Blazkowicz and the resistance aren't going to stand for this--if all the explosions and mayhem in the trailer are any indication--and in 1960 team up to fight back against impossible odds and more than a few deadly robots.
Wolfenstein: The New Order will be coming to shelves May 20 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
