Final Fantasy XVI is Coming to PC! Check Out the Trailer Here!

SQUARE ENIX have finally revealed that Final Fantasy XVI, the critically acclaimed action RPG, and the latest mainline numbered entry will be coming to PC!

Many fans have been awaiting for Final Fantasy XVI to arrive on PC after the successful launch on PlayStation 5. Now, you can pre-purchase the Standard Edition or the Complete Edition which also includes the DLC, Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide. Of course, you can also purchase the DLC individually or as the Final Fantasy XVI Expansion Pass. But, the Complete Edition will offer both DLCs at a discounted price.

Regardless of whether you purchase the Standard or Complete Edition, all players who pre-purchase the game will recieve the Brave Blade weapon, the Cait Sith Charm (which will boost the amount of Gil you earn when fighting enemies), and the Sixteen Bells Orchestrion Roll, which is a tune you can play in the hideaway.

The demo is available to play on Steam and Epic Games Store, so if you've never played the prologue, then this is a great time to check it out. In the demo, you'll play as a teenage Clive as he lives in Rosaria with his parents and his younger brother, Joshua. Joshua is the Dominant of the Phoenix, and Clive, as his First Shield, must protect his brother who is sworn to take over the Duchy of Rosaria and help bring peace to Valisthea. However, not everything is as it seems, as Clive learns when he awakens the power of the Dark Eikon, Ifrit.

Along with the opening prologue, you'll notice that your save data will carry over into the main game. You'll also be able to take part in the Eikonic Challenge mode, where you can do battle with your Eikonic abilities.

While the main game will focus on Clive's search for revenge and a way to bring peace to Valisthea, the DLC will focus on new stories. Echoes of the Fallen takes part prior to the final battle in the story, and at this point, there are dark crystals circling the black market, and Clive will need to investigate these suspicious traders with his friends. On his journey, they discover the Sagespire, a Fallen tower which hides terrible, terrible secrets within.

However, the second DLC chapter Riding Tide will add more depth, and includes the mysterious Eikon, Leviathan. With more story, battles, sidequests, weapons, accessories and level caps to both DLC, it's up to Clive to explore the hidden land of Mysidia and do battle against Leviathan the Lost. Plus, there's more end-game content with access to the Kairos Gate, where you can challenge 20 stages of intense battles against waves of enemies.

If you've never played Final Fantasy XVI, this is a great way to check it out for the first time. Just keep an eye out for the game to be released on Steam and the Epic Games Store on the 17th of September.
