Final Fantasy XIV reaches 10 Million Players

Square Enix has revealed that their MMORPG, FINAL FANTASY XIV has reached the milestone of 10 Million players worldwide. The MMO had a rocky start, but since the Realm REborn update, it's seen player numbers shoot up.

During the time since its launch, Final Fantasy XIV has seen the arrival of several expansions, including the title's most recent addition of Stormblood, which saw the introduction of a brand new location as well as granting players access to 2 new playable characters in the form of the samurai and the Red Mage.

 This significant number also just so happens to coincide with the release of Patch 4.06 and the start of the yearly Moonfire Faire. This year sees an all-new series of quests, including a battle against Ultros and his uncontrollable tentacles. Triumphant adventurers can obtain event items to ring in the celebrations, including a number of pieces of exclusive equipment.
