Final Fantasy VII Remake Trailer Debuts At The Game Awards

See more of Cloud in action with the latest trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake, dropping at The Game Awards pre-show.

During the pre-show stream we got a few new glances at the highly-anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake, including some more interaction between Cloud and Aerith as well as highlighting a focus on non-playable characters like Jesse and Biggs.

The exciting teaser hints that we will be spending a lot of time in the introduction city of Midgar, lending further credence to the idea that all of this remake will be set in the slums as well as acknowledging the games heavy environmentalism themes, a key part of the original Final Fantasy VII that some people were worried would be dropped from the remake.

Square Enix have also announced that North American customers will be able to gain exclusive bonuses from ordering from either Gamestop, Best Buy, Walmart and Amazon. There are currently no details on whether these items will be available in other countries.

Details on these exclusive items include:

GameStop/EB Games – Pre-orders for the Standard and Deluxe Editions are packed with an exclusive Shinra Key Card and Collectible Tin Box. Both editions may be pre-ordered through the official GameStop and EB Games websites.

Best Buy – Fans can claim an exclusive bundle featuring the Deluxe Edition along with additional merchandise including a Canvas Pouch and Metallic Stickers for $99.99.

Walmart – The Standard Edition is packed with three double sided art cards, available through the official Walmart website.

Amazon – A PlayStation Network dynamic theme that utilises key art for Sephiroth is available when pre-ordered through the site.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be available for PlayStation 4 worldwide on 3rd March, 2020.
