FIFA 17 Officially Announced
EA has officially announced the 2016 iteration to the FIFA franchise, FIFA 17, teasing a full reveal on 12th June.
The teaser, which you can see here, shows only a small glimpse of gameplay mixed with clips of FIFA games gone by, before giving the release date of 29th September.
With Jose Mourinho providing the voiceover, declaring that "football has changed", the players foregrounded are Real Madrid's James Rodriguez, Chelsea's Eden Hazard, Marco Reus of Borussia Dortmund fame and Manchester United's French Striker Anthony Martial. Though it hasn't been confirmed, these will likely end up as the cover stars.
Powered by the Frostbite Engine, FIFA 17 looks to deliver the most authentic and true-to-life player recreations in a FIFA game yet.
“Frostbite unlocks a whole new world of possibilities for the FIFA franchise and its fans,”
- David Rutter, VP and Executive Producer
While the reveal will be on 12th June, a full debut and stream will be available on 15th June during EA's PLAY livestream.
