FIFA 16 Will Introduce Women's National Teams

FIFA 16 Will Introduce Women's National Teams

EA has announced that this year's iteration of the FIFA Football series, FIFA 16, will be the first to feature Women's National teams meaning that fans will be able to play as their favourite female players.

The developers of the annual football game revealed that this feature was:

"One of the most requested features in recent years, this is a huge milestone for both our franchise and the sport."

Using the same facial capture and head scans used to capture the likeness of icons such as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, FIFA 16 will include 12 Women's National teams, with each player receiving the full body capture treatment.

The teams included are Australia, USA, Germany and England as well as a host of other top ranked nations and will be available to use in Match Day, Offline Tournament Mode, and Online Friendlies.

There was no details regarding the distribution of the female players into Ultimate Team however.

We will likely find out more details about FIFA 16 during EA's E3 press conference on 15th June. And we'll have the information ripe and ready for your consumption.

Are you telling me there will be a FIFA with something new in it? Not just 'better immersion' and updated team rosters? Madness!
