Fallout 76 2021 Roadmap - What's Coming This Year?
Bethesda has released the Fallout 76 update roadmap for the rest of 2021. It outlines all of the major updates planned for the game from now until the end of the Christmas season. Check it out below, and read on for an overview of what each season has in store for Fallout 76 players.
Spring
Locked & Loaded
As detailed in this Fallout 76 blog post, the most significant changes to the spring 2021 season are C.A.M.P. slots and S.P.E.C.I.A.L. loadouts. The first of these two will let players store and swap between multiple active camps at will. The second will, once they reach level 25, let players reboot their S.P.E.C.I.A.L. loadouts and respec, overhauling their build without needing to start an all-new character.
If that wasn't enough, the update also brings a significant expansion to the endlessly replayable Daily Ops mode, adding a new mode (Decryption), locations, enemies and mutations to the existing randomised pool.
Summer
Steel Reign
More Brotherhood of Steel content is coming this summer, including new quests, story, rewards, locations and NPCs. In addition, the summer update will add Legendary Modules to the game, letting players craft their own Legendary weapons.
Autumn
Worlds Are Changing
On top of an expansion to the Private Worlds feature to be detailed further down the road, the autumn (fall) update brings yet more addition to the Daily Ops mode.
Winter
Tales from the Stars
Headlining this update is a seasonal event known as "The Ritual". It will see players teaming up with the The Cultists of Appalachia to carry out a mysterious (and rewarding) ritual. There will also be a new Public Challenge, Invaders from Beyond, which will see players teaming up to face off against an all-new threat for some serious rewards.
Aside from those, the update will also bring in the long-awaited feature of camp pets, as well as four-star legendary equipment.
These major updates for Fallout 76 will release throughout 2021.
