Falling Frontier Delayed to 2022

The winner of E3's "Most Anticipated Indie Game" award—Falling Frontier—has been delayed. The solo developer for the game has shared that there's much he plans to add to the game and that he will be using this delay to polish the game as needed.

The main new mechanic featured in the trailer is the search and rescue system. In Falling Frontier, the crew can be injured or die as the ship takes damage, and if the vehicle becomes disabled or destroyed, the crew can evacuate it. The surviving members may then be recovered by any faction before they run out of supplies and can be interrogated for information such as technology configurations or the location of an enemy base or operation.

The trailer also showed an exclusive look at the unmatched devastation of orbital bombardments and explored a bit of the previously unseen waystation facility, which allows for fleets to rearm, resupply, and repair even when not at a shipyard. Two new ships styles have also been revealed!

The game has been delayed until Q2 2022.
