Fake EA Sports Instagram Accounts Phish for Origin Logins

A wild Phish appears, it's super effective!

Security firm Malwarebytes have spotted a Twitter feed that has been attempting to steal the Origin login details of players of Fifa 14.

The scam is pretty well thought out, someone reports an issue to @EASPORTSFIFA the verified Electronic Arts Twitter account and at that point in jumps @EAFlFAHELPUK (spot the lack of the verified checkmark) offering help via a bit.ly link that points to a spoofed Origin login page.

An account by the name of easportsut2014 has now started offering freebies to people in exchange for login details in a similar scam. Not directly of course, each offer directs freebie hopefuls to a site that requests their Xbox Live and Origin login information as well as the answer to each respective security question.

Now I don't think we need to tell you why this is a bad thing do we dear reader? Not when you may not be able to get your account back after it gets nicked and have to buy all those games over again.
