Evolve's Third Monster Leaked
Whoops, Turtle Rock is having to do some major backtracking after accidentally leaking the identity of the third monster in their upcoming co-op FPS Evolve.
Following the "Big Alpha" it was revealed by the company that two more monsters would be making an appearance. The fourth monster, revealed via silhouette to be a giant, bulky beast, is currently being named by the community. Until now the identity of the third monster had gone unknown.
However, during a gameplay live stream in which the devs were showing off the new map "Rendering Plant", an image of an as yet unseen monster flashed up on screen for just a few seconds - long enough for some intrepid viewers to get a snapshot.
Called the "Wraith", this new monster seems to be all about misdirection. Featuring abilities named "warp blast", "abduction", "decoy" and "supernova", the Wraith appears to suit a stealthy playstyle - one for players who like to pick off their hunters one by one. It features a much sleeker design than the Kraken, Goliath and the as-yet named fourth monster.
No news has come out of 2K or Turtle Rock Studios to confirm or deny the existence of the monster or the legitimacy of the image.
