Evolve Goes Gold

There's a milestone very game reaches eventually, that of "going gold". It's when the game master goes off to manufacturing and the developer can look forward to their baby hitting the streets.

Evolve hit that milestone today and 2K Games and Turtlerock celebrated by releasing the intro video you see above. They also did a few other things...

They have started putting evolve merchandise in the 2K store, and the guys and gals over at Turtlerock finally had a shave and a haircut! The developers had said that they would not shave or cut their hair until the game hit certification and made it out the other side and that for they would donate $50 to Child’s Play charity for each inch grown. 227.5 hairy inches! That comes out to $11,375 raised with the hair itself being donated to Locks of Love. 2K are matching the cash too so that's $22,750 in the bucket! Nice one guys!
