Evolve- All DLC Maps Will be Free of Charge

During an interview with IGN, Turtle Rock Studios' Creative Director Phil Robb revealed that all DLC maps will be available free of charge to players. 

Whilst Evolve will feature paid DLC, players who have not purchased the content will still be able to experience fighting alongside or against new characters and monsters. This move is particularly interesting as it means players won't feel left out or segregated due to the paid DLC. 

Robb states in the interview: 

"We'll have characters and monsters, and even if you don't buy them, if your buddy wants to buy the DLC, that's cool, and your game will be enhanced through his purchase,"

Robb also states that fans who pre-order Evolve will receive the first monster DLC for free. 

This approach to extra content a welcome one especially in this age of day one DLC and season passes. 

Evolve is to release on February 10 next year for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
