Evil Dead: The Game - A Third-Person Shooter Based on the Iconic Horror Franchise
Announced at The Game Awards 2020, Evil Dead: The Game has been unveiled as a co-op/PVP third-person shooter looking to combine the gritter tone of the original Evil Dead with the over-the-top action of the later entries in the franchise. Set for release in 2021, the game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Switch. Check out the reveal trailer above.
With more than 25 weapons at their disposal (including a number that fans will recognise from the Evil Dead movies and show), players will team up against AI-controlled Deadites, crafting, looting, exploring and fighting to survive. Additionally, one player can also take control of a Kandarian Demon, controlling the hordes of enemies and trying to sway the tide of the battle in an effort to overwhelm their friends!
With recognisable locations, enemies, weapons and characters—including Mr Campbell himself reprising his role as Ash Williams—this has the makings of a loving tribute to Sam Raimi's horror franchise.
Keep an eye out for it when Evil Dead: The Game launches on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Switch in 2021.

Okay, I won't play it because I don't like multiplayer games. However, that doesn't mean I can't disect it.
It's certainly interesting that they have the rights to Army of Darkness, as I believe those are different to The Evil Dead. They're certainly different enough that two comics publishers were both making stories about Ash at the same time.
