Esports comes to The Simpsons

After 30 seasons, The Simpsons is dedicating an episode to esports with an upcoming episode titled "E my Sports". The Simpsons has covered various aspects of gaming and technology before, including a trip to the fictional MMORPG Earthland Realms and an episode centred around a fictionalised version of Apple, but this will be the first foray into competitive gaming. Writer and showrunner Al Jean tweeted out an image of the cover of the episodes script and also confirmed that Community and The Hangover star Ken Jeong will guest star in the episode.

 Details about the episode are naturally kept under wraps, though it is likely it will follow Bart due to the title's pun on his famous catchphrase. Personally, I'd have liked to see them use Lisa as the focus of the episode to help bring a more positive light to women in competitive gaming, but Bart has featured heavily in previous gaming-focused episodes.
