Empyrion - Galactic Survival Launched

There you are, flying all the way to Andromeda and what happens? Some tit on the crew slams into a planet, killing everyone but you.

This is how things start in newly announced game Empyrion - Galactic Survival  from Eleon Game Studios. You have to find resources, build a base, then a ship, and get yourself off planet and out into space in an open world space sandbox game that resembles the love child of Eve, Minecraft, Space Engineers, Halo, and the Alan Weir novel "The Martian".

The game features Space and planet exploration, resource gathering and survival, building of spaceships and bases, and a procedurally generated galaxy.

Kickstarter and Steam Early Access start in October, Alpha is due in March 2015 and final release is due in December 2015.
