Eidos Montréal's New Game Engine

Calling it the Dawn Engine, Eidos posted up a blog with an image of the quality you can expect from their new graphics engine.

The Dawn Engine was apparently created as existing engines don't do what Eidos want, to create the Deus Ex that they want to make. It is built specifically for PC and new-gen consoles, and will help them expand the Deus Ex Universe in the way they want.

There have been rumours that the so-called Deus Ex Universe was to be an MMO - Eidos ensure us that they have no plans for that. It is simply the same as saying "Star Wars Universe" or "Marvel Universe" - it means all of the expanded canon created for it.
