EA Are Buying Titanfall Developer Respawn Entertainment
Respawn Entertainment is joining the EA family of developers as the company announces it's being picked up.
The buy out is costing EA around $151 million will plenty more money put into long-term support as well. This means that the total buy out cost is much higher. For Respawn Entertainment this news must be good for them knowing that the higher ups at EA have taken notice of their performance and sees promise in the company.
Currently Respawn Entertainment have three games in development including a new entry in the Titanfall franchise, a new Star Wars game and a VR gaming experience. Though not much else is known at the minute about what fine details are included in the buy out it is safe to say that we can expect to see a lot more from the developer in the coming years.
It has also been reported that publisher Nexon, who published the Titanfall mobile game made an offer on the company as well but were outbid by EA.
This announcement comes not long after the news that EA would be shutting down Dead Space developer Visceral Games as well.
