E3 2021: Metroid Dread Announcement

Announced at Nintendo Direct at E3 is a new entry into the Metroid series: Metroid Dread. A new series within the franchise, with the first new 2D entry in over 19 years. The game itself, fitting the new title, is more horror like with what looks like a Mr X like monster from  Resident Evil.

The game is slated for release on the 8th October 2021 for Switch with a Special Edition and amiibos also releasing on the same day.

Suit up as Samus Aran in the first new entry of the 2D #Metroid saga in more than 19 years, #MetroidDread, launching 10/8.
