E3 2014: Battlefield: Hardline Closed Beta Open

EA have finally released some gameplay footage of upcoming title Battlefield: Hardline which takes a slightly different spin on the traditional shoot-em-up that the franchise is used to. Instead, you are playing as Cops and Criminals and we were shown a 32 player multiplayer experience where the Criminals have just stolen some loot from downtown LA.

We were shown a variety of perspectives for both Criminals and Cops as the the criminals made their escape across builds, bridges and the streets of LA. The maps seem as big, if not bigger, than some of the Battlefield 4 ones with a lot more potential routes to take.

The Battlefield: Hardline closed beta was launched at the end of the show on both PC and PS4. For owners of Battlefield 4 on the PlayStation 4, they can start downloading it right away. PC players can sign up to beta via the Battlefield website.

Battlefield: Hardline will be launching worldwide on 21st October, 2014 for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
