E3 2014: Assassin's Creed Unity Release Date Announced
Dawn of the 19th century and revolution is in the air. We are shown a cinematic trailer for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Unity. As an eagle sores through Paris, we see an uprising as the city fights back against the guards of the city.
Four assassins appear on a rooftop and dive down into the fray. Unity seems very focused on the multiplayer aspect, but it’s unlikely to be mandatory. Alex Amancio is the protagonist of the game but we haven’t learned much about him yet.
We were then shown some gameplay of Alex in action. His parkour isn’t too rusty though and his combat can still take out an entire garrison. Moving through a crowd of unruly peasants, he looks to seek out his target. As he’s tracking him, he falls upon a side mission to solve a murder and accepts it, showing how easily it will be to have multiple missions running at the same time. Flawlessly taking out guards outside, he activations his eagle vision and views more guards inside. Maneuvering around them, he makes his way to his target, taking out a guard on his way. His target lives, but his objective is updated.
Leaving the house, a lot of objectives show up on his HUD, detailing all the potential activities you can partake in as an assassin. Now tracking his next target, he sneaks around a public beheading and then pounces onto his target, assassinating him. His three other friends join him at his side and the gameplay footage ends.
Releasing 28th October 2014, Assassin's Creed Unity will be available PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
