Dreamy Rhythm Game Melatonin Coming To PC Next Month

Melatonin, a rhythm game about merging dreams and reality, will be released soon on PC. The previously announced Nintendo Switch version will also be coming very soon.

The developer shared some more details on this game:

You can learn a lot about someone from knowing what they dream about at night. Melatonin explores that concept and uses music to help convey the feelings of the main character to the player. There are clear influences from Rhythm Heaven on the gameplay but I truly believe Melatonin has its own unique style and more than enough original ideas to separate itself from the games it was inspired by.

In terms of the title itself, Melatonin is a rhythm game about merging dreams and reality. It also explores the relationship between the dreams we have when we’re asleep and the experiences we go through when we’re awake through unique rhythm game levels. With hand-drawn graphics mixed with music produced to flow hand-in-hand with the gameplay and visuals, players will piece together elements about the main character’s life as they dive deeper into their dreams.

Some of the features of Melatonin include; discovering over 20 dreamy levels spread across five chapters, with every level introducing a new way to follow the rhythm. Plus, players can unlock Challenge Modes that will test their rhythm, reflexes and skill. If that sounds intimidating, though, don’t worry because a practice mode will help players be guided through the level.

Melatonin will be released on the 15th of December on PC via Steam. So try not to fall asleep while playing!
