Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey set to Reach Final Destination soon

Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey is a game you'll definitely have heard a lot about if you listen to our podcast. Our Senior Staff Writer and GrinCast co-presenter Emsey is in fact incapable of going more than eight and a half minutes without talking about it. But that’s not without good reason. The adventure game is one of the most successful in the genre to be funded on Kickstarter, with over $1.5m raised, making it the twentieth most lucrative videogame on Kickstarter and the second most funded point-and-click behind Double Fine’s Broken Age.

The game has been released in chapters, with the first four parts of the story already out and available to play now. The final part has now been announced, via a reveal on the game’s Kickstarter page. Not that much has been revealed about what the story of the concluding chapter consists of, but we were treated to some new concept art for the game’s final episode.

The book will be called Redux and is set for a release later this year. Red Thread are encouraging users to theorise on what will happen to close out the story on their forums. Of course, there’s a high chance of spoilers there so do be careful if you’ve yet to finish chapters one to four.
