Dreamate and Fulqrum Publishing Decide New Approach for Upcoming New Arc Line

New Arc Line is a tactical RPG steampunk title where you'll explore the New World as you try to find the cure for a fatal disease named the New Arc. Set in a steampunk setting, you'll explore a rotten city beautiful only on the outside, as you set out to on an RPG adventure that lets you be the character you wish to be — be it heroic or villainous.

This highly anticipated title — having 12,590 followers and claiming spot 233 on the wishlists ranking — is a classic-inspired RPG where you'll be able to use technology or science to your advantage. Having received a lot of feedback from the Steam Next Fest demo, the team decided to make a change of course: instead of aiming for a full launch, New Arc Line will insteadbe released in Early Access.

In the press release, the team talks a bit about the understandable apprehension towards Early Access titles for narrative-heavy experiences such as this one.To remedy this, the Early Access version will have limited main quest story, where players will be able to enjoy about a quarter of the storyline, with side quests, areas, and additional content and polishing planned throughout the development journey.

The decision came after the Steam Next Fest feedback — since then, the demo has been removed from the store (as it no longer reflects the current state of the game) and it convinced the team that they wanted to work together with their fans to build the best New Arc Line they could. The Early Access is expected to have around 10 hours of playtime with roughly a third of the planned release content, with the rest planned to release sometime in late 2025, giving players an opportunity to come back and experience the full story.

To thank players for their support throughout the early-access period, the game will be "heavily discounted", costing $19.99 upon release, with a price hike expected to come with the full launch.
