Dragon Quest Builders 2 Coming to PC Via Steam this December
The charming Dragon Quest Builders 2 is set to finally release on PC this December, after the worldwide PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch release earlier this year. To celebrate the announcement, Square Enix has released a short, tongue-in-cheek trailer (shown above) in which the game's hero builds a giant PC within the game world.
Loosely continuing the story of Dragon Quest II's "bad ending", Dragon Quest Builders 2 throws players into a world controlled by monstrous cult, The Children of Hargon. In order to unite the non-enslaved humans and overcome the cult's influence, players will gather allies and use their creativity to literally build up a new society from nothing.
Mining, fighting, crafting and building will be key to success; Dragon Quest Builders 2 is unashamedly inspired by the likes of Minecraft, although it adds enough to the table with quests, story and progression to stand apart from the more free-form Mojang alternative.
The PC version of the game will come with all the Season Pass content, this includes the Hotto Stuff Pack, Aquarium Pack and the Modernist Pack. In these packs, players will find new recipes, style items, content and in-game locations. Pre-ordering the game or buying it before 6th January 2020 will also see players receiving the following bonus content:
- Ornamental Medicinal Herb Recipe
- Dragon Quest Logo Recipe
- Ornamental Chimera Wing Recipe
- Five Sigil Block Recipes
- Legendary Line Art Recipe
- Lo-Res Luminary Recipes
Dragon Quest Builders 2 will be available on PC via Steam on 10th December 2019.
