Dovetail Games Working On New Platform For Simmers

Dovetail Games are planning to create an online space for the people that purchase and play their lines of simulation products after multi-million pound investment from Alcuin Capital Partners. This new platform, Dovetail Live, is planned to launch its initial stage later this year and aims to be an hub that enables interaction with Dovetail's own products and the community at large.

With designs on being a one-stop shop for flight, rail and fishing enthusiasts to allow purchasing, curating and interacting with fellow fans. They hope to provide a place for fans who might not be familiar or identify with mainstream gaming channels.

Dovetail Games' CEO Paul Jackson, Esq OBE had the following to say:

"The vast majority of people that buy our products don’t behave like traditional gamers, who typically play through an experience from start to finish and then go on to look for the next new and big thing. They behave like hobbyists, individuals with a deep interest in one product that often spans many years. They are very committed to their hobbies and when it comes to simulations, they take great pleasure in curating highly personal collections of content."

The intend to grow the hobbyist simulation market by catching those that slip outside current gaming circles and think having this dedicated platform can help them do this.

Jon Rissik, Chief Operating Officer at Dovetail Games thinks this could grow to millions:

Simulators have certainly seen a resurgence in the last few years, Dovetail Games clearly see Dovetail Live as a stepping stone to more growth.
