Don't Starve to get Free Multiplayer Expansion
Popular indie survival game, Don't Starve will be getting a free multiplayer expansion over the summer, developer Klei Entertainment announced today.
Don't Starve Together will see 2-4 players simultaneously trying to survive by gathering resources and exploiting their environment. It has been alluded to that there could be more than 4 players involved but, the developer would like at least 4 players to be a possibility. It's not yet clear whether the game will reward cooperation or competition (or both) but it could definitely add an extra interesting element to the game.
Currently there are only plans to release Don't Starve Together for PC. In an update on Twitter, Klei Entertainment were asked if there would be a PlayStation 4 version of the multiplayer. They said "we'd like to do PS4 as well, but it's far away from knowing if it's possible."
Don't Starve Together will be completely free to players who already own the game, but the price of the game will increase by $5 to $19.99 for those who haven't yet bought it, and presumably by an equivalent amount in other markets.
