Dive Into New Puzzle-Filled Rooms in the Escape Simulator 2 Announcement Trailer

Escape Simulator 2 has been announced for PC, revealing a heap of new challenges to come for puzzler aficionados. Coming to Steam, this follow-up to the best-selling first-person escape room game will feature 12 brand-new rooms designed for solo play or multiplayer, which supports up to eight players.

The new announcement trailer linked above gives off moodier vibes compared to its predecessor’s trailer, presenting a darker colour palette and sombre music, which reflects Pine Studio’s intention to explore “darker themes,” as noted by the studio’s co-founder Boris Barbir. While the game isn't delving into the horror genre any time soon, players will be visiting some rather mysterious areas, including the shadowy fortress of Dracula’s Castle and a pirate island with cursed, ancient treasure.

For those who enjoy bringing the escape rooms of their dreams to life, Escape Simulator 2 is introducing Room Editor 2.0, which will offer more powerful and intuitive tools to build your creative designs. Pine Studio also aims to enhance the puzzler experience in each of its rooms with new technical improvements and by experimenting with new puzzle mechanics.

Escape Simulator 2’s release date is still to be announced. You can currently wishlist the game on Steam and check out the original Escape Simulator's newly released Mayan DLC, which just introduced four new rooms set in the Mayan jungle. Stay tuned for more news about upcoming Escape Simulator content and the launch date for the sequel.
