Distance Released on Steam Early Access and PS4

A new "survival racing game" named Distance, developed by Seattle-based indie company Refract, is being released on PlayStation 4 in 2015. It is however being released for Early Access on Steam from the 9th of December onward.

On a post at the PlayStation Blog, the lead developer Jordan Hemenway commented on the game's structure:

"It takes the intense action of arcade racing and places it in an explorable, atmospheric world. The environments are mysterious and deadly with treacherous obstacles around every corner. Instead of doing laps on a loop, you'll be trying to survive from point A to point B."

From features shown in the announcement trailer released, you can see that the user has a large variety of freedom which allows them to boost, jump, fly and rotate whilst driving as-well as driving upside down and on walls. Hemenway said the game is "parkour-style" due to the freedom given to survive.

The multiplayer will feature a large variety of games to play with friends and stranger, of which will supply the users with hundreds of hours of gameplay to enjoy.
