Disney Dreamlight Valley Got a Ton of Quality-Of-Life Improvements; Learn More About Them Here!

Gameloft just dropped the Mysteries of Skull Rock update, which added a ton of new content, including both free and paid! While I'm always excited for new things to do, I'm also a massive fan of quality-of-life improvements, and they added a lot of those, too! Since the improvement to the companions is somewhat in a grey zone between "new" and "improved" content, I've decided to add it to both news pieces. So, for those who might not have read the other one, the adorable critters do more than just follow us now!

Aside from being able to give each a proper name, players can expect them to offer some bonuses, too. Companions will now help collect bonus resources, increase the inventory space, and offer rewards by bonding with them and levelling them up!

Although that's it for the new content, there are also some quality-of-life changes added:

• Paths can now be played diagonally.
• The grid has been expanded, allowing for more flexibility while decorating.
• Player House Styles can now be placed once per expansion and one of the Floating Islands, meaning they can have several of the same home placed in multiple zones.
• Photo mode got a few new improvements, such as the ability to sit while taking photos and tweak pictures even more through angles and retouching.
• Memory Orbs have been balanced to ensure players can complete the memories.
• The Premium Shop will feature six bundles.
• The Uncrafting Station has been balanced to make it less costly.
• Cross-save is available for PlayStation users.

I'm very happy to see all the great changes added! Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, iOS, Android, Microsoft Store, the Epic Games Store, and Steam.
