Disco Elysium Gets New Hardcore Mode
Disco Elysium, the hyper-reactive narrative RPG from ZA/UM has just been updated with a hardcore mode and support for ultra-wide monitors. In this mode, speech checks are harder, money is rarer, prices are steeper, debuffs are harsher and drugs (sadly) are more useful. On the bright side, levelling up will be slightly quicker, so... small victories right?
The game puts players in a single city block and tasks them with solving a mystery, any way they see fit. With complete freedom to craft a character who can behave in a myriad of ways, players will see the world react dynamically with a level of nuance previously unseen in games. Bribe, sweet-talk, threaten, lie, cheat or just be an honest do-gooder. The choice is open and the world is paying attention...

Disco Elysium is out now for PC. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One releases are planned for some time in 2020.
