Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Friends and Family Beta Underway
The Diablo III: Reaper of Souls friends and family beta test is now underway however; this beta is a little different.
In the past, participants in this particular phase of public testing usually only include friends and relatives of Blizzard employees. With Reaper of Souls, however, we've decided to buck that trend and extend invites to valued media contacts and key members of the Blizzard community. We're also inviting 3,000 of our most active Diablo III players from around the world who've opted in for beta testing—something we've never done for any Friends and Family Beta test before!

That's right, there will be non-family members in this beta which means that you could get your grubby little, loot filled mitts on access to the game. Well, if you're a member of the media or very active on Diablo III.

In a blog post, Stephanie also announced that there is no Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for the beta meaning that anybody that is in the beta is allowed to write up articles about the game, or stream live gameplay, or post videos, or so on and so forth.
We also encourage you to be mindful of story spoilers, as the Friends and Family Beta includes the entire expansion, excluding the final boss fight.

You have been warned fans. You might happen upon some spoilers in the lead-up to the games launch but, hopefully, people aren't complete dicks.
