Developer White Owls Releases new Trailer for "The Good Life"
A new Story Trailer has been released for Swery65 and company’s The Good Life.
In characteristic Swery fashion, the trailer is filled with stock footage, raw gameplay, spelling mistakes (even the title of the trailer is “THE GOOD LIFE- STROY Trailer”), and inside jokes, revving the charm of the project up to extraordinary heights in a way that only the lovable Japanese director of Deadly Premonition can.
In The Good Life, players will take control of Naomi, a severely indebted photographer from New York City who moved to Rainy Woods, “The Happiest Town in The World”, located somewhere in the British countryside. While trying to work day by day to pay off her debt (and spending a lot of what she earns by “drinKING”, a reference to Swery’s own drinking habits), Naomi uncovers not only a secret, that the townspeople become dogs/cats at night, but the brutal murder of a local woman.
With the murder, the secret, the isolation, the bizarre townsfolk, and the debt, The Good Life is shaping up to be a the strange, charming, imagination-filled game that White Owls promised to deliver in its Fig and Kickstarter Campaigns. Fans of Swery’s previous projects and the game’s Kickstarter backers are excited to get their paws on the game when it releases, which is projected to be in November of 2019.
