Destroy All Humans! 2 Will Be Skipping Last-Gen Consoles
The developers behind THQ Nordic's Destroy All Humans! 2 have shared some information regarding the consoles that the game will be releasing on.
In an interview it was revealed why the game won't be releasing on last-gen consoles. The developers decided against it because they wanted to make a more detailed open-world for the next-gen consoles rather than sacrificing the quality and size for the older machines.
Black Forest assistant creative director Stefan Schmitz explains that it was a difficult choice to make, but they were caught between making weaker visuals than the prequel but bigger worlds or sacrificing last-gen console compatibility in favour of using the optimization time to instead make bigger, better worlds and a more polished combat experience.
Although I know the decision must have been tough, dropping support for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and even the Nintendo Switch, I am glad to see the developers taking charge and focusing on the next-gen consoles to follow what they envisioned the second game should be.
Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed will be released sometime next year.
