Deep Space Settlement Pre-Orders Open
After 3 years in preproduction Escape Velocity Studios have announced that their project Deep Space Settlement has hit Steam Greenlight and is up for pre-order.
DSS is a real-time strategy game for PC, focused on empire building and grand-scale space battles(4X RTS) featuring Random events, RPG style, Customizable ships and stations, Single- and Multiplayer content, Story and sandbox modes, and high modding capabilities with access to game content through XML and game logic through the API.
The story goes that you are part of a multi-generational mission to colonize distant regions of space. The journey takes you to a star cluster rich in resources and lightly populated. Or so it seems. The goal is clear: set up a space settlement and thrive. How you do that is your choice, be nice and make allies, or nasty and grind the galaxy under your boot heel.
