Deep Dive to Latest Champion and Skins in League of Legends Gameplay Trailer

League of Legends has begun its Season 1 Act 1 for 2025, giving a new definition to seasons overall and turning a new leaf on how things will be handled. Mixing in narrative with gameplay and theming part of a season to a specific region will give players the opportunity to learn more about Runeterra.

The gameplay trailer for Season 1 Act 1 is a two-minute-long YouTube video named "The Strong Gather", where Mel Medarda, a core character throughout Arcane's two seasons, takes centre stage. As the newest Champion to join League of Legends, she's bringing in a wholly new mechanic that focuses on one of her most iconic moments from the series, giving her the opportunity to reflect attacks.

The trailer features her W prominently as she deflects all sorts of incoming attacks. From ultimates to Blitzcrank pulls, she'll be able to return abilities (from skill shots to point-and-click abilities) and have their effects applied to enemies instead. She takes centre stage, invading Summoner's Rift and turning it into a Noxian battlefield as she battles the Dark Rose for control of the region.

This trailer shows off the skins that are coming in Season 1 Act 1 as well for the Battle Pass.Elise, Vladimir, Samira, Renata, Katarina and Ezreal will receive Dark Rose-masquerade-themed skins aswe got to see in the cinematic trailer for Welcome to Noxus.This is something we learned more about in the dev update that we got to see about Welcome to Noxus, but this is the first time we get to see all of the abilities of Mel Medarda.
