Decarnation Brings a Story-Rich Horror Adventure to PC and Nintendo Switch
Shiro Unlimited and Atelier QDB have officially launched Decarnation, a psychological horror game that plunges you into a world of dreams and nightmares. Its twisty and dreamlike release trailer linked above gives you a glimpse at what to expect: cabaret performances, unsettling eye portals, and many Lovecraftian environments.
Set in 1990 Paris, you’ll play as Gloria, a struggling cabaret dancer whose relationships, career, and self-esteem are at an all-time low. Her next artistic endeavour takes her on a haunting journey where she’ll need to battle inner and outer monsters, solve twisted puzzles, and complete metaphorical minigames to survive. Inspired by 2D adventure-horror and survival-horror games, Decarnation features stunning pixel art designed to reflect Gloria’s ever-changing state of mind and the legendary Silent Hill composer Akira Yamoaka has created 10 original tracks to amplify the fear-inducing atmosphere.
Ready to explore Gloria’s nightmares and unravel her secrets? Decarnation is available now on Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Steam Deck.
