Death Stranding Releases Gamescom 2019 Trailer
During the opening night of Gamescom 2019, Hideo Kojima treated fans to the first real look at gameplay for the upcoming release of Death Stranding.
This six minute trailer showcases a small section of the title but gives fans plenty to look at and try to understand. In the above trailer we see the player character Sam scale a mountainside to deliver supplies to a character within the world while also seeing a few systems at work.
Viewers will see that Sam has access to a few gadgets to help navigate the world including an extendable ladder, along with the option to pee on command. Kojima said after the trailer aired that Sam will always turn away from the camera, meaning players won't be able to see Sam's privates, and that multiple players peeing in the same spot may cause something good to happen. In the trailer we see a mushroom spawn after the act so who knows.
There is even a system in play that will see players needing to use the motion controls of the DualShock 4 controller to be able to rock and smooth the Bridge Baby they carry around, should it become stressed.
You can see all this, and many other little details, in the above trailer and yes it is still very, very confusing.
Death Stranding will be releasing on 8th November, 2019 for PlayStation 4.
