David Gaider leaves Bioware After Seventeen Years
Prolific writer David Gaider has left Bioware. One of the company's longest serving writers, he was involved in the character design and plotlines of some huge classics including Dragon Age II Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic and Baldur's Gate II as well as creating the world of Dragon's Age.

The writer has come to be much loved for his engaging characters and strong storylines. He created a number of highly successful spin-off comics based in the Dragon Age universe as well as his work on the games themselves.
He has also helped to further LGBT acceptance in videogaming when he came out via tumblr as a "developer who happens to be gay" in 2014. It's not known if he has left of his own volition or not, however we do know from his twitter feed that he is not going straight into another role just yet as he is quoted as "ready to be unemployed. For a bit"
